    Grace in the Workplace

Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands for us,
yes, establish the work of our hands.
(Psalm 90:17)

For the past year, Journey in Christ has profoundly enjoyed providing discipleship counseling and training to employees at a manufacturing company.  My ministry partner, Michael, and I both come from business careers, and we are drawn to the mission field of the workplace.

I am excited to announce that I will be teaching our foundational discipleship conference with a focus on the workplace!  I have been thinking about this opportunity for a long time.

Not only are blue and white-collar workers welcome, but also homemakers, the unemployed, the disabled, the retired, students -- both young and old.

Following is the schedule and brief description of each teaching session.   I hope you are encouraged by the seed truths in each description.

CONFERENCE
SCHEDULE & SESSIONS
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
6:45 pm to 9:15 pm

Your Greatest Purpose and an Overview of the Gospel
God's greatest purpose for you in your vocation based on Christ's death for you and Christ's life in you!

The Root and the Lies of Sinful Flesh
How living according the flesh hinders God's greatest purpose for you.  How fleshly habits are developed in trying to get God-given needs of love and acceptance fulfilled apart from God.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
6:45 pm to 9:15 pm

The Christ Life
The difference between trying to be like Christ at work and experiencing Christ living His life through you at work.  This difference is based on your union with Christ through His cross and resurrection (Romans 6)!

Journey to the Cross
How God uses all things in your life to lead you to surrender fleshly efforts to Him and to embrace the indwelling life of His dear Son.  An intimate review of your personal Gethsemane with Christ (Philippians 2:5).

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
8:45 am to 12:00 pm

Your True Identity
Striving to get your identity through your job and other things you do is contrasted with resting in who God says you are based on what Christ has done.

Victory in Trials and Temptations
Exposing the deceptive tactics of spiritual warfare and how Christ has already provided you victory (Romans 7)!  Vital truths for experiencing victory in your job.

Pastor Tony Evans of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas has noted, "Grace Life Conferences provide the solid foundation that every saint needs to find victory and fruitfulness in the spiritual life." After attending a conference taught by our sister ministry Exchanged Life Ministries Texas, Pastor Evans wrote this book that depicts key truths from the conference.
