Eternal Life gave us His time.
The Creator entered His creation.
The Promise came wrapped in swaddling
clothes.
The Light of the world shone in our darkness.
The Word spoke after 400 years of God's
silence.
The Prophet fulfilled all prophecies.
The Priest felt our pain.
The King made a stable His castle.
Faith came to show the Way.
The Truth came to expose our lies.
The Life
overcame our death.
Grace was revealed with a face.
Heaven came
to earth.
Peace came into our anger.
Hope
courageously countered our fears.
Relationship overwhelmed religion.
Love came
with tiny outstretched arms.
Majesty was displayed in a manger.
Compassion
humbled our condescension.
The Most High was born in a lowly manger.
The Ancient
of Days became a new-born baby.
Joy brought glad tidings to our gloom.
The Bright
& Morning Star walked under His stars.
The Birth set the world's calendar.
Holiness
burned through our sins.
Holy Fire tenderly laid on hay in a manger.
Rivers of
living water walked on the sea.
Mercy came seasoned with grace.
Glory was
revealed in simplicity.
The Comforter shared our sufferings.
Humility
broke through our pride.
Immanuel came to be God with us.
Warmth came
to embrace our coldness.
The Prince of Peace became a Pauper.
The Seed
came to be planted.
The Law was totally fulfilled.
Wisdom came
to show our ignorance.
Almighty Power became human frailty.
The Son of
God became Son of Man.
The Source of everything lived in
poverty.
The Message
Himself spoke in the Gospels.
Redemption broke us out of our
prisons.
The Judge of
the world faced our accusations.
The Ruler of the world was temporarily overruled.
The Master came to serve us.
Pure Water washed our feet.
The
Carpenter set our plumb-line.
The
Commander lived in the enemy camp.
Splendor was fanned under angel wings.
Old Testament
shadows became New Testament light.
The Gospel Himself became the
good news.
Our Advocate
ever lives to pray for us.
The Messiah came as promised.
The Savior
was found in our lostness.
The Spirit of Christ became flesh and blood.
The silent Lamb did not argue His rights.
The spotless
Lamb hung on a cruel cross.
The sovereign Lamb laid down His own life.
The Innocent
took on our guilt.
Humility took on our shame.
Hope swallowed up despair.
The Expired
was exalted in resurrection!
The Victim became Victor.
The Disfigured has become Transfigured.
The only genuine Man has exposed imitation man.
The Spirit breathed life into Pentecost!
Tears of Gethsemane became living
waters.
The crown of thorns bloomed a rose.
Bread of Heaven now nourishes us.
The Water of Life now quenches our thirsts.
Heavenly hosts invite us to the Lord's feast each day!
His riches have become our gifts to others.
Knowing Him has consumed any appetite to just know about Him.
Transformation has changed us from depending on information.
Surrender has given up trying to be committed to Him.
His commitment to us is now more vital than our commitment to Him.
His hope has become our home.
His hope has become our home.
His shed blood has become shared blood.
His heart beat has become our heart beat.
We have become one with God's one and only Son!
Christ in us has become our hope of glory!
