 The Trinity in the Resurrection
I'm still thinking upon the resurrection of Easter Sunday.
This Rest Stop is a brief, but deep, reflection of Scriptures that reveal the resurrection power and authority of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit...and how God makes the resurrection so personal to us.

GOD THE FATHER
The glory of God is all the ways God manifests Himself. In this verse, God manifests His glory through His power in raising Christ from the dead.
The glory of God is also manifested in each of His children's life who have been raised in union with Christ to walk in newness of life in Him!
GOD THE SON
Jesus was talking to the religious Pharisees who falsely believed they had their own power to live rigtheously. Living in this way is sin.
Sin indeed has power -- power unto death. However, that is as far as sin's power can go. Jesus was proclaiming to the Pharisees His greater and true power -- the power unto resurrection life.
Listen closely to this resurrection language of Christ in the following verse, and Christ's power over sin:
Where sin abounded,
grace abounded much more,
so that as sin reigned unto death,
even so grace might reign through righteousness
to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
ROMANS 5:21
The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in you! As a result, I'm not sure why all Christians aren't living in much wonder and awe and worship of our glorious God!
CLOSING
It is through the cross and resurrection that God's grace invites us to know Him. To those of us who have received this invitation through repentance and faith, we are indwelt with the risen Lord Jesus Christ.
This indwelling life of Christ provides us with the amazing privilege of intimately knowing, and growing to know, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As a result, we can endure in sufferings we are promised in this fallen world in order to glorify the risen Lord!
